SMS stands for Short Messaging Service. Most people call it texting. SMS messages run through the telephone's network and allow users to communicate via these short messages.
The DIDLive SMS Services allow users to send and receive SMS messages without having an actual phone. This allows the businesses to communicate with customers/employees via a Web Interface or automated messaging (reminders, info, auto feedback, etc). DIDLive has a Restful API that allows developers to use the SMS functionality.
